Rukn-e-Yamani of the Holy Kaaba

Rukn e Yamani, also known as the Yemeni corner, is one of the four corners of the Kaaba, which is the holiest site in Islam. The Kaaba is a cube-shaped structure located in the center of the Great Mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

The Yemeni corner is so named because it faces the direction of Yemen. It is located on the southwestern side of the Kaaba, adjacent to the Black Stone corner. Muslims believe that touching or kissing the Yemeni corner during the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage is considered an act of worship and a means of seeking Allah’s blessings.

The Yemeni corner also has a special significance in Islamic tradition. It is believed to be the corner where the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) stood and prayed when he conquered Mecca in 630 AD. According to the Hadith, the Prophet said, “Touching the two corners [i.e., the Black Stone corner and the Yemeni corner] removes sins.”

Overall, the Yemeni corner is a significant and revered part of the Kaaba, and Muslims from around the world come to Mecca to perform the pilgrimage and pay their respects to this holy site.
