Jabal Thawr is a mountain located in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. It is famous for its cave, which is known as the Cave of Thawr, and is of great religious significance for Muslims. According to Islamic tradition, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his companion Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) sought refuge in this cave during their migration (Hijra) from Makkah to Madinah.
The story goes that when the Prophet (peace be upon him) and Abu Bakr were fleeing Makkah, they hid in the cave of Thawr to escape from their persecutors. The cave is around 4 meters long and 1.5 meters wide, and is situated at a height of 725 meters above sea level.
Today, the Cave of Thawr is a popular destination for pilgrims and visitors to Makkah, who come to see the place where the Prophet (peace be upon him) sought refuge during his journey. The mountain itself is also a popular spot for hiking and trekking, with many people making the climb to enjoy the stunning views of Makkah and the surrounding area.
