Jabal Al Nour, also known as the Mountain of Light, is a mountain located in the city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia. It is famous for the Hira cave, which is located on its summit, and is a significant site for Muslims. According to Islamic tradition, it was here that the Prophet Muhammad received his first revelation from the angel Gabriel, marking the beginning of his prophethood and the revelation of the Quran.
Today, Jabal Al Nour is a popular destination for Muslim pilgrims who visit the Hira cave and climb the mountain to reflect on the Prophet Muhammad’s experience and to seek spiritual enlightenment. The climb is considered to be a strenuous one, with many steps and rocky terrain, but the stunning views from the top are said to be worth the effort.
