Bani Shaybah The Historic Gate Of Kabaa

Bab al-Shaybah, also known as Bani Shaybah, is one of the gates of the Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. It is located on the southeastern side of the Kaaba and is one of the oldest gates of the mosque.

The gate is named after the Banu Shaybah tribe, who were responsible for the keys to the Kaaba during the time of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the early Islamic era. The keys to the Kaaba are still kept by the Banu Shaybah tribe to this day, and they are responsible for opening and closing the gate during the annual Hajj pilgrimage and other special occasions.

The Bab al-Shaybah gate has a rich history and has been renovated several times over the centuries. It is considered a significant site for pilgrims visiting Mecca and is often included in the Tawaf ritual, where pilgrims circumambulate the Kaaba seven times in a counterclockwise direction.

Overall, the Bab al-Shaybah gate is an important part of the history and tradition of the Kaaba and the Masjid al-Haram, and it remains an iconic symbol of the Islamic faith.
