The Kaaba is a sacred building located in the center of the Great Mosque of Mecca, and it has four corners or pillars known as “Rukn” in Arabic.
Rukn-al-Gharbi, also known as the “Western Corner,” is the corner of the Kaaba that is located towards the west. It is situated to the left of the black stone (Hajr-e-Aswad) that is embedded in the eastern corner of the Kaaba. This corner is also called the Yemeni corner because it faces towards Yemen.
These corners hold great significance for Muslims, and pilgrims to Mecca make sure to touch or kiss them as part of their rituals during the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages.
